History and Legacy

Since 1903, Fisher has been constant in our fundamental commitments. Fisher College is known as a resilient, ever-present point of access to higher education for young people and adults, many of whom come from underserved communities in the greater Boston area and around New England. In 2022–2023, 32% of Fisher’s students were first-generation college students, 56% of undergraduates were students of color, and our undergraduates hailed from 37 states and 35 countries.

Fisher College has continued to evolve in ways that uplift and serve our students. Our flexible online and on-campus undergraduate and graduate programs provide a holistic education and high-value returns on student success.
